This book was fascinating on a lot of different levels. My favorite part was learning about the architects and how the Fair ultimately was built (re: power plays, boards, force of personality and wills, etc.) Also I loved hearing about the Ferris Wheel and all the different inventions and new things of the time (electricity!). Holmes' story was interesting but not as much as the fair. It just didn't seem to have as much riding on it :) The novel did bring up interesting questions about right and wrong and morality, but mostly I just liked learning about the different characters (Olmstead, Burnham, Root, the Ferrises, etc.). Definitely a fun listen on audiobook.
